![]() ![]() That said, the path to Strangeland‘s credits is actually a rather simple one: destroy the Dark Thing. Nightmarish landscapes are inhabited by monsters from the darkest corners of horror, and the solution to this massive puzzle… requires you to make sense of its madness. Alas, that is how Strangeland begins and amnesia is not even your biggest problem in this followup to Primordia. The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 1 is now available to stream on Disney+.Waking up in an unfamiliar locale with no recollection of how you got here – or even who you are – can be downright daunting. ![]() It isn’t quite The Mandalorian at this point, but the potential to meet this standard is there, we just have to hope that it will get there. It is a good start to the show, and I feel like it fits well within the Star Wars franchise. It made me feel like I could conquer a galaxy myself. It is subtle and powerful, and as the credits started to roll I found myself just listening to the chilling soundtrack. The music in this episode is one of my favourite things. ![]() It will be interesting to see how the two stories of Boba Fett tie in together, and I am also interested to see if they will keep the two storylines up for the entire series, but so far, it is a good start to a new series. It is a little confusing at times and I feel like there are some parts that don’t blend so well together, but it all makes sense as the episode ends. Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett finally proving himself to Xavier Jimenez as the Tusken Chief Making His Way Through the GalaxyĬhapter 1 of The Book of Boba Fett gives us a great setup for the story. I’m excited to see how they came to be partners, and what they went through to get to where they are now. Wen and Morrison feel so right together on screen, and their relationship feels natural. She’s able to hold her own and isn’t afraid to use force if necessary, but is still fair and aware of what has to be done. The character is everything we love about Star Wars. She is fierce and stoic, showing loyalty above all else. I will forever be in love with Ming-Na Wen and everything she does, but Fennec Shand has to be one of my favourite characters. The subtleties of his character are what make him so powerful and captivating, and I’m excited to see the progression throughout. His presence on-screen is demanding, and you can feel that he takes control of all scenes. He is really taking on the role of someone who spends most of their time behind an armour and a helmet. The actor’s skill is mostly through his body language and voice. He shows how Boba Fett will be a more honorable ruler than most, even against all of the advice around him. He is cool and subtle, but compassionate and fair. Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett will forever be one of the greatest things. Pictured from left to right: Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand surveying a new kingdom in ‘The Book Of Boba Fett’ Rule With Respect This will be a show of two stories the rise and rise of Boba in more than one place. It can be a little slow at times, and it can also feel a little disordered, but it all comes together nicely at the end, and it all makes sense. It’s a fantastic opening that really sets up the story a character at his lowest, fighting to get back to his full potential. This first episode sets up the story of how Boba Fett gets back into the world and escapes the Sarlacc, along with the beginning of his journey back to what he once was. I think it makes a clear divide between the two storylines that we have in the show. The first time it happened, I didn’t realise what it was. The transition between flashbacks and ‘present day’ is subtle but very well done with a slight haze to the scene as it transitions. Although the story can feel a little scattered at times, it all comes together nicely and gives us more of this character. The episode stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. “Chapter 1: Stranger in a Strange Land” is directed by Robert Rodriguez and is written by Jon Favreau.
